BMW MINI Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality Experiences - HoloLens and Tablets
Rolled out to dealerships, events (like Germany's famous IAA Automotive event), and also BMW World in Munich (~3M visitors per year).
Includes multiple vehicles with hundreds of product options and accessories. Connected to a Dealer/Market backend which allows for control of products, currency, pricing, localization, and more.
Runs on iOS using ARKit/Vuforia for augmented reality - seeing the configurable car in front of you; and, being able to modify the physical car in front of you with accessories like rims. Hololens works similarly, allowing the user to see an augmented physical car.
Cars are based off of real CAD/product data. Optimization 25M+ polys to 1.2M (for iOS), and to under 80K for Hololens.
